Witness the Beauty of Sea Turtles and More Indonesian Wildlife
Merubetiri National Park is 58.000 hectare squares inhabited by more than 180 bird species and nested by four endangered turtle species. Besides the beautiful wilderness of the Park, there is Sukamade Beach famous for the ancient sea turtles nesting site to lay their eggs. Merubetiri National Park is also recorded as the last habitat of the Javan tiger (Panthera tigris sondaica).
Petungsewu Wildlife Education Center (P-WEC) will take you to Merubetiri National Park with a 4WD vehicle. The other endemic wildlife you can see in the Park are hornbill, deer, buffalo, sea eagles, and many more.
